Melissa Dudley is a Deputy Director in the Cabinet Office’s Government Commercial Organisation and the Commercial Director for the Construction Portfolio. As part of that, she is responsible for advising Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service on the £9bn+ transformation programme to deliver 20,000 modern prison places. Melissa has significant experience of complex and high value project delivery, most recently within the MoJ delivering HMP Five Wells in Wellingborough, HMP Fosse Way in Leicester and HMP Millsike near York. Prior to this, her previous experience includes FM and Estates, professional services and legal policy in a variety of roles. She is an active advocate for construction and moving the sector forward, sitting on multiple cross-government and industry forums, working with industry to manage emerging risks and develop best practice approaches.
