Future City Catapult
Pam Alexander has led major housing, regeneration and cultural projects. Chair of Covent Garden Market Authority at Nine Elms for 6 years to January 2019, she is Deputy Chair of the Planning Committe and a board member of the London Legacy Development Corporation; a non-executive director of the Future Cities Catapult, bringing digital technologies and big data into urbanism and soon to merge with the Transport Systems Catapult, Chair of Commonplace, a digital platform for community engagement and an Ambassador on the London Mayor’s Cultural Leaders’ Board working on Creative Enterprise Zones. Pam is a founder member of the steering board of The Equilibrium Network, working to create a stronger pipeline of women at senior levels in the professions shaping the built environment.
Until recently Pam was Deputy Chair of the Design Council and a non-executive Director of Crest Nicholson Plc and of Crossrail. Her executive roles included CEO of SEEDA and of English Heritage, Deputy CE of the Housing Corporation and twenty years in the Department of the Environment. Pam is a founder Academician at the Academy of Urbanism and a Chartered Geographer.
