Nalin has been a director at Sheffield City Council since 2009. As Director of City Centre Development, he has led the delivery of the £400m Heart of the City II project and is working on Fargate & High Street as part of the Government’s Future High Street Fund. Nalin has also taken responsibility for regenerating the Castlegate area of the City. All this work is about reinforcing Sheffield’s position as an inclusive regional capital at the heart of an ambitious northern economy.
Nalin has held senior positions in the public and private sector over 35 years. Nalin worked in the private sector rising to take the position of Director at Midas Construction in the South West and then Head of Asset Management & Economic Development for Plymouth City Council and since 2009 a Director of Sheffield City Council. Nalin is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
