As Managing Director of Strategic Estates, Chris is responsible for the strategic management of the parliamentary estate and related infrastructure. The Strategic Estates team provides a service to both the House of Commons and House of Lords, this encompasses a broad set of responsibilities, including the delivery of construction projects, the provision of specialist planning and design support, and the care and development of our internationally significant heritage collections, among others. As Managing Director, Chris is responsible for leading a team of approximately 400 colleagues in addition to contractors and suppliers working across all strategic estates activity. Chris has most recently been Capital Delivery Director for Jaguar Land Rover, leading capital delivery programmes to deliver new buildings and infrastructure required to support growth. Prior to that, from 2015 to 2022, Chris was Jaguar Land Rover’s Global Property Director, accountable for global corporate real estate and non-manufacturing property capital investment programmes. Before joining Jaguar Land Rover in 2015, Chris spent 17 years in the aviation sector, primarily at Heathrow Airport, where he held a number of roles including Programme Director for infrastructure, Programme Sponsorship Director and Procurement Director for the capital investment programme.
