David has worked on major infrastructure projects worldwide in Client, Contractor and Consultant roles with a particular emphasis on long span bridges. This included senior roles on the Tsing Ma Bridge in Hong Kong, Storebaelt East Bridge in Denmark, Jiangyin Bridge in China and the Second Tacoma Narrows Bridge in the USA. From 2010 to 2017 he was Project Director and Employer's Representative for Transport Scotland on the £1.35 billion Forth Replacement Crossing project including the Queensferry Crossing. He is currently a self-employed Consultant providing advice on major infrastructure projects to Clients and Contractors around the world.
