James has extensive experience in the design and implementation of sustainability strategies for the built environment over a 24-year career.

His previous roles at project, regional and global levels include roles at Amec, Bechtel and Mace Group. He has also worked for clients in the construction, retail, and manufacturing industries on a consultancy basis.

At Glencar, James leads the company ESG strategy, focusing on delivering key priority themes of decarbonisation, climate change resilience, responsible procurement, the circular economy, and social value.
