We believe our entry exemplifies true creative thinking and innovation. Many have said, ‘you’ll never do it, your inventions will not change the processes and the way the industry works’. We are proud that Imperial Thermal is challenging mindsets by creating viable solutions and new processes for an industry that typically lacks innovation. Our single objective has been to create an all-electric process for traditional methods used in construction. We approach all our developments with a ‘can do’ mentality, as not doing so is not in our DNA!Intelligent thinking, Clever design'The Future is All-Electric' - Jonathan Forbes-Brown
NICE® is JSM’s no dig, direct buried cable removal system – it is an advanced method for removing underground decommissioned fluid filled cables without the need for traditional open cut trenching for the length of the cable thus mitigating any environmental risks of leaving the cables buried. It is an approved method of cable extraction for National Grid and offers significant physical advantages by reducing disturbance and disruption but also significantly reduces health, safety and environmental impacts during the extraction process over traditional methods.
LMS Highways' Premcrete Highway FC Cement is a game-changing innovation in rapid-set, low-carbon concrete. Developed in collaboration with Premcrete , this pioneering material enhances project efficiency, sustainability, and performance. It enables the installation of eight full bays per night, setting a new standard for the industry. Eliminates the need for heating during curing, and significantly reduces carbon emissions. Premcrete Highway FC streamlines product resources and aids in a positive step towards National Highways’ Net Zero goals. By revolutionising highways maintenance, this material sets a new industry benchmark, making LMS Highways a deserving winner of the CN Best Product Innovation Award.
minimass is a new design & engineering approach for large-scale construction - a family of 3D printed concrete structural elements. Through design optimisation, minimass vastly reduces both carbon and cost - now - giving contractors an edge in their bids. minimass can also work alongside higher cost low carbon materials going forwards to accelerate the transition to net zero by reducing the quantities required. Commercialisation of an innovative way of building in a risk-averse industry is challenging, but we have made it a reality through our world-first footbridge project, proving minimass is a viable alternative to traditional concrete or steel.
Modular MKII Wall System is a finite designed, engineered/robust assembled construction solution suitable for modern washroom installation. It can incorporate all typical washroom finishes, laminate, glass, tile, stone, solid surfaces, recycled plastic sheeting, veneer etc... It can support Sanitary Ware and fixtures and fittings (including Part-M requirements)The factory M&E off-site installation results in a ‘plug and play’ system for ease of install/co-ordination.The repeat work/enquires we have gained post install from this product/service is a testament to the belief that this innovation has the potential to revolutionise prefabricated install. Please note this system is not just limited to washrooms!
Some construction projects really make you smile. For whilst the construction process may be unexpected, the unusual methodology is actually very sensible.A large slopping rural site adjacent to the established South Elmsall was chosen for the construction of wetlands project. This natural solution to wastewater treatment which will prevent runoff into the local river., should make everybody smile.Using just the existing soil found on the site to construct both the temporary and permanent works, without the need to remove or truck materials to the site is totally sustainable and environmentally friendly. And it’s all 100% recyclable.
The UK designed and manufactured Rhinovator revolutionises resin mixing by addressing a long-standing industry challenge: the permanent bonding of resin to mixer drums. Its unique polypropylene drum resists resin adhesion, drastically reducing cleaning time and eliminating hazardous practices like flame cleaning, chemicals, and abrasion. This breakthrough design enhances safety, reduces environmental impact, and boosts efficiency, making it a game-changer for the resin-bound industry. By improving durability and reducing downtime, the Rhinovator not only increases productivity but also ensures a safer working environment. Its combination of innovation, performance, and sustainability makes it a standout solution in the market.
StubGuard® is an innovative fire-stopping and insulation solution designed to improve fire safety and regulation compliance. Acting as a balcony anchor wrap, StubGuard® is engineered to encase Sapphire’s steel anchor stubs, ensuring fire integrity and insulation within and beyond approved limits, helping developers achieve compliance without complexity.StubGuard® supports Sapphire’s core values of showing initiative, delivering on promises and supporting our industry. By putting time into research and development, we have created a product that delivers on a fire-stopping solution and supports our industry doing so.
SIPit-FR is the groundbreaking non-combustible Structural Insulated Panel (SIP) that sets a new standard for safety and performance in construction. Designed to withstand demanding conditions, these panels offer remarkable fire resistance, structural integrity, and superior insulation, aswell as flood and hurricane resistant, making them an ideal choice for various construction applications. SIPit-FR provides exceptional thermal efficiency, ensuring your buildings remain not only Fire retardant but also energy-efficient year-round.
UB Infrastructure's product innovation redefines construction productivity to rapidly secure critical lineside infrastructure where degradation of buildings is posing significant risk to workers and the public users of the railway. This componentised, panel based building embraces precision engineering principles to be the only truly manufactured building system available on the market. The innovation is achieving 80%+ savings for public sector buildings whilst reducing energy consumption by 95%+ and achieving net zero through careful selection of material and process. Scale and speed are now achievable whilst improving quality to make UK public infrastructure more resilient and significantly more cost effective.
Walther Strong’s Rebarflex Mesh is the UK’s first fibreglass alternative to steel reinforcement, offering an 85% increase in installation efficiency, a 62% reduction in cracks, and 50% lower material costs. Rebarflex transforms construction with superior durability, corrosion resistance, and enhanced safety, setting a new benchmark in reinforcement technology. By eliminating sharp edges, reducing labour needs, and promoting sustainability, it solves major industry challenges. The manufacturing process of Rebarflex has a significantly lower environmental impact compared to steel production, reinforcing its eco-friendly benefits. Rebarflex is a true game-changer, redefining reinforcement for a faster, safer, and more cost-effective future.
