Through the commitment of the SLT and the engagement with the workforce SB3 have managed to deliver a campaign that has not only positively impacted the HS&W performance of the project but has also improved the health, safety and welling of the piling industry. The innovation and new methods of working introduced through the campaign topics have been shared and adopted far and wide throughout the piling industry. The wellbeing offerings introduced on this project have helped improve the physical health of our workforce, reducing the burden on the NHS but also has greatly contributed to improved mental wellbeing on

Delivered by Balfour Beatty for Oxford County Council, it achieved zero incidents on a live highway, demonstrating exemplary risk management and workforce engagement.Its pioneering health and wellbeing initiatives included mental health awareness, blood pressure testing, and guest speakers to foster an inclusive, supportive workplace. With its innovative safety measures, sustainable design, and long-term community benefits, the project stands as a model of excellence for the construction industry, leaving a positive and lasting impact on Oxford’s transport infrastructure.

The A30 Chiverton to Carland Cross scheme has set new standards in health, safety and wellbeing. The project’s HSW team's innovative approaches, including a digital safety management system and the "Safety Champion" program, have fostered a proactive safety culture. A collaborative commitment to mental health, with dedicated wellbeing programs and support services, improved employee morale significantly. In achieving over 4.5 million hours without a RIDDOR incident, the project exemplifies excellence in safety performance.
