Innovative measures including an automated waste collection system, low-carbon District Heating Network and ecological habitats make it an environmentally friendly place to live. The project is creating significant local employment opportunities, delivering homes to a largely local population and fostering links with the community.

Church Lane North’s regeneration has transformed a neighbourhood by creating more attractive, energy-efficient homes and optimising the estate’s footprint. By improving the design, adding private gardens, and enhancing public spaces, the project has fostered a renewed sense of pride and ownership among residents and positively changed the way the neighbourhood is used by its community. Centred on customer experience, it’s been a true collaboration between clients, contractors, and residents, with the shared vision reflected in the positive impact on the community which will remain long after completion.
The Rosmead Street regeneration project has revitalised 331 homes through a frontage improvement scheme, delivered by Geo Houlton & Sons in partnership with Hull City Council. Works included new boundary treatments, garden landscaping, redecoration, upgraded rainwater goods, and improved communal footpaths, enhancing the area’s appearance and liveability. Integrated with Living With Water’s flood resilience measures, the project has strengthened long-term sustainability. Social value enhancements, such as park benches, a disabled-access picnic table, and community garden improvements, further enriched the neighbourhood. With strong resident approval, increased community pride, and private investment, this scheme sets a benchmark for high-impact, community-focused regeneration.
The Lots Road PowerStation was the largest steel framed power station in the world. Now repurposed for modern day living as Powerhouse, a multi-award-winning collection of 260 apartments rich in history and overlooking the River Thames. Of these 260 apartments 199 are for private sale and 61 are affordable homes. At the heart of the building, is a major piece of high quality, environmentally controlled public realm that connects the surrounding communities together by openings through the chimneys and over two pedestrian bridges. The Former Nurses’ Home is a groundbreaking transformation of a historic building on a prominent city centre brownfield site in the Isle of Man. This project has converted 126 derelict bedsits into 37 modern, energy-efficient apartments while simultaneously preserving the building’s cultural heritage. What makes this project exceptional is its capability to be a catalyst for change, with it being the Island’s first BREEAM Residential Refurbishment project, and set to achieve an ‘excellent rating’. It is an exemplar contribution to the IOM’s “Our Island Plan”: boosting the population, providing accommodation for key workers, and prioritising the regeneration of brownfield site.
