Before joining Soho Housing Association as Chief Executive, Barbara spent 4 years as executive director of Growth Planning and Housing in Westminster developing and delivering the city’s ambitious affordable housing programme and leading the housing, planning and economic development services. She went on to set up the city’s wholly owned housing development company, Westminster Builds.

Before joining Westminster, Barbara spent 15 years working in London Boroughs, before moving into the private sector working first for a small project management business as a co-director and then as MD of a consultancy delivering some of the most successful housing PFI bids across the country.

She worked in housing regeneration and delivered major programmes involving public and private sectors. She has been responsible for mixed tenure developments and major private finance deals, set up two council owned development companies building award winning affordable housing and delivering an income stream for the councils involved.

Barbara is on the Board of Network Homes a G15 Housing Association and is co-owner of a home gallery in Islington.
