Alex Housden is a development manager with over 15 years of experience in the built environment. He was formerly part of Argent’s Birmingham development team which moved to MEPC in 2021. Prior to joining Argent Alex was an associate director with a large multi-disciplinary consulting practice, acting as project lead for the project management, employer’s agent and cost consultancy services across phase 1 of the Paradise development.
Alex has been involved with several other large scale city centre regeneration projects including the redevelopment of Birmingham New Street station and Piccadilly Place in Manchester. His experience includes construction dispute resolution, residential, commercial property, higher education and transport. Alex is currently leading the development of Three Chamberlain Square, a 180,000sqft commercial office scheme within phase 2 of the Paradise project, a major commercial led mixed use development of 2 million sq/ft in the City centre of Birmingham.
Three Chamberlain Square is designed to be a highly sustainable, low carbon building with occupier amenities, smart technology, health and wellness features being central to the brief.
Alex is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the British Council for Offices.
