Previously an Associate Partner at PLP Architecture, Richard has more than 20 years’ experience across the UK, Europe and Australia, working on a wide range of projects across a variety of sectors including commercial, healthcare, education, civic, aviation, residential and conservation projects.

Richard also has a strong technical background, complemented with extensive experience in project documentation, contract administration, cost management, resourcing, project management, strategic planning and dispute resolution.

Prior to PLP Architecture, Richard was at AEDAS and Woodhead and was lead architect on a number of projects including 25 Copthall Avenue, City of London, The Jack Petchey Academy, Hackney, The Bracknell Health Trust Cancer Centre, in the UK and the Osborne Park Hospital redevelopment, Town of Kwinana Library, the redevelopment of Forrest Place and the Newman Civic Centre in Australia.

Richard is currently focused on the design at Edward Street Quarter, the £100 million redevelopment of the former AMEX House in Brighton, which is set to deliver 160,000 sq ft of Grade A offices and 168 new homes, alongside space for independent coffee shops and restaurants. In addition, Richard also works across the company’s portfolio of mixed-use and regeneration projects, working closely with Daniel May, Head of Design.
