Amy Koerbel Director, AESG // Amy Koerbel is an architectural engineer and Director at AESG, where she leads the UK Façades business and is a member of the UK Executive Team. She brings over 25 years’ experience across architectural engineering, multidisciplinary design, specialist technical consultancy and business leadership. Amy’s work is fundamentally about interfaces – where disciplines, materials, systems, people and decisions meet. She navigates these complex intersections by bringing together different perspectives, identifying the issues that matter and shaping the discussions and decisions needed to move projects forward. Her experience spans major infrastructure programmes, including Thames Tideway, and highly design-led projects such as the Serpentine Pavilion. She works with developers, architects and contractors across new-build and retrofit projects, with a particular focus on façade design, remediation and technical advisory. Her work explores how increasing regulatory and performance demands can be reconciled with design, safety, buildability and long-term value.
