Maribel is an architect and residential expert with over 20 years’ industry experience. As an Associate Partner at HTA, she leads the design and delivery of urban residential developments, championing design excellence and placing quality, beauty and joy at the heart of the built environment. She combines creative ambition with commercial awareness, working closely with clients to shape briefs, navigate planning and maximise development value. Her expertise spans the full project lifecycle, from early concepts to delivery, balancing design quality with programme and value. Maribel leads multidisciplinary teams on large-scale residential and mixed-use projects across the public and private sectors. She has particular expertise in affordable and social housing, working with local authorities and housing associations to deliver high-quality homes that respond to residents’ needs. Her wider experience encompasses student accommodation, co-living and build-to-rent, alongside volumetric construction and other modern methods of construction (MMC). An advocate for diversity and inclusion within the profession, Maribel contributes to industry debate through public speaking and trade journals. She also supports the next generation of architects as a visiting university critic and serves as a judge for construction industry awards.
