Alison is People Director at Kier Construction, part of Kier Group plc, a listed FTSE-250 company that sustainably delivers infrastructure which is vital to the UK. The Construction division employs c4,000 colleagues and delivers c£2bn of revenue to the Kier Group. Her HR career spans over 20 years, with a wealth of cross sector experience across a range of companies from Amazon and Home Retail Group to Bank of England, Travis Perkins and TUI. Having delivered change across multiple geographies, she has helped organisations align structures with its current and future objectives. In her current role at Kier, she is focused on talent, developing internal capability for emerging skills and growth, the development of an effective leadership team and building the HR function to be stronger performance coaches to deliver organisational growth. In previous roles she has supported business in growth, decline and turnaround, in generalist and centre of expertise functions. Alison’s experience across different sectors, roles and organisation cultures enables her to bring a different perspective and broad thinking to organisation challenges. Alison is a Fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development and a mentor with the Circle Partnership which supports the development and retention of mid-level women in the built environment.
